Why should I wait

For You to sing to my soul

When I ought 

     Sing unto Yours

So why dear soul

     Do you wait for a song? 

Sing to the Lord

     To Him who is worthy

     And crowned with many crowns

Ascribe greatness to His throne on high

Let a sound ring forth

To the mighty savior

Bless and praise His just holy ways

Let a pattern arise

     Beauty in song

That paints the portrait

     Of a worthy King

Let His song be sung

     To and fro
