Every man looks
To justify himself and his desires
But the humble recognizes his inability
To fully grasp the mind of God
But searches it out
With great fervor
Man is always trying
To justify himself
His desires, his passions, his preferences
And justify himself in his own mind
And before God and man
But who will look to Me and say
“Rewrite me”, “Show me your ways ”
“Judge me”, “Correct me”
“Refine me”
“Change me to your likeness”
And then act on it to search
Out My heart fervently
With ravenous desire
Humility, meekness,
Weakness?
There is treasure
Hidden in the spiritually un-arrogant
Who will refuse to judge
Another’s servant
Earnestly desire the Lord
Search His face
And he is found.
The humble is a listener
Not a justifier
