It is morning

          Creator-King, who is

               Friend to me

I don't want to do this day

               Without You

I don't want to play or pray

               In my flesh

Let Your Holy Spirit guide my steps

     Stir my heart

          Lean upon me

                Press Your desire upon me

That I may work

          In the work You do

Let me not forget

     What You spoke yesterday

But don't let that stop me

     From hearing what you

               Speak today

Let me catch with the eyes

     Of my heart

          Where You want to move

Let me join You!
