River Rise is another early work, from October 2013. This one is less meaty and was just some spiritual perspective I entered into at one point. The verse captures the idea that the river of God flows from heaven to God's people, empowering to walk by the spirit. It bids the people of God to wake from their slumber and enter the river of God where the Kingdom of God is released in power, peace, and joy, where the manifest presence of God is experienced. 

Musically, I was challenged by one of my fellow worship band members to try writing a song with just three chords, in the same pattern throughout the song. I chose C, D, Em, but didn't always follow a 1-2-3 pattern. I wouldn't say I am excited by this song now, the way I am about some of the newer ones, but at the time I wrote it I did enjoy it.
