Today I recorded Unleashed, the chorus which was playing in my head when I woke up one morning. At that time I didn't know if that song would grow, or if it was just a stray repetitive chorus. It took a little time to evolve, but it ended up having four challenging choruses. I know people say we ‘already have an open heaven’ but 2 Peter chapter 1 describes the steps needed to access the continuous kingdom of our Lord (2Pe 1:11). This song struggles with the promises from God in Christ that we don't always see in fullness. But it doesn't stay there , it recognizes, we are actually accessing the Kingdom, and then goes on to risque 3rd verse about intimacy with our creator. Finally, verse 4, derived from Isaiah 45:6 is prophetic intercession about the advancement of the kingdom of God which is righteousness.
It's no wonder that I am recording this now. My heart has been wildly pursuing the righteousness of God, seeking to enter that Hebrews 3 and 4 rest that a certain nation failed to enter into. If we stop having so much unbelief, and start believing what the Bible says about our completion in Christ, we will find the grace of God for all the wild things he promises. I am on a mission to resist unbelief in my life, and pursue whole-heartedly the kingdom of God.
