Sometimes it's hard to find time to enter the creative space. Last month when I took a few stabs at it, working on a Sidequest song, I just couldn't get it right. But today was different. Two songs posted.

Hello Beloved!

It's been slow on the updates here. That's mostly because I've been working three jobs since late December. My available creative time has been sporadic. But, there is actually new content! I need to upgrade my subscription here so I can add more songs, but those songs are already available on my YouTube and Suno channels. The last two songs for Drifting are complete, and I've added content to Higher.

While I have whittled away at the stacks…

It is now day seven of the adventure with Suno.Ai. So far, there are 8 recordings, a blend of AI-versions of songs I previously recorded, and songs that had lyrics, but not a full melody. Days that I work on this, I can usually crank out two songs. It takes an extensive amount of work. Maybe five hours a song? Ai does some weird stuff and is incredibly stubborn. It was a holiday week, so I took two days off from working on music. Saturday, because Friday was unfruitful labor. But I am learning techniques…

I bit the bullet and got a sub to Suno.AI for song generation. There is a learning curve. So for I have two completed songs. One I generated from one of my demo tracks (Appeal), and it took quite a while to figure out how to keep the cadence on the lyrics. Suno flat-out refused to keep the bridge correct. But after twelve attempts, there were two reasonable renditions. Both of these are in the genre of heavy rock.

I found a bunch of little journals over the weekend, and stacked them on my desk to plow through and see what was there. Was it ever a trove. I found poems and pre-songs, and wrote some based on some of my thoughts and writings - and scribed them all today. Twenty-one new files. Some may not make sense to  you, but I can hear them in song. They will be trickling out from now through December 25th. I am excited to have new content to turn into songs.

Today I recorded Unleashed, the chorus which was playing in my head when I woke up one morning. At that time I didn't know if that song would grow, or if it was just a stray repetitive chorus. It took a little time to evolve, but it ended up having four challenging choruses.
