I wrote my new favourite song! The works were piling up, and rather than redirect  you to Suno or YouTube, I bit the bullet and bought the unlimited storage here for songs so you can download them for free! Everything new has been dropped in the album “Higher”, although for now it is out of order, and maybe those all don't belong there.

Well, I finished recording and posting the last finished song (Unhardened) of the genre that I will be uploading here. (I have some broader-audience, monetizable things planned.) But I have so much more planned! Of course I have lots of new ‘inspirations’ that I dug out of journals in the last couple weeks, new material I continue to write, and - whoops! - I just found a stash of older stuff that had been hidden away. Probably something between fifty and a hundred poems, songs without melodies, and other…

After yesterday's newly minted song, I couldn't get away from the computer or edits to this blog. I typed out a slough of poems, pre-songs, and premonitions that will be published under “Raw Works" (Works in Progress) over the next few weeks. I will have to search to find more that are hidden and stashed among my writings. (Yes, I'm a paper writer!) The first of this dropped today, with two to three scheduled in each upcoming week. So far this batch is from 2013. Old stuff!

This is a weird season for me. My normal routine has been largely ripped away, and I find myself hidden on a mountain with infinite possibilities, and nearly no responsibilities. The last couple weeks brought clear confirmation about what to be doing with this time - write music! But also relief from the internal guilt and drive to do more than what the Lord has been asking. Minutes ago I finished writing a song I started at the end of July. A little stressed before a work presentation, I wanted to sit down a moment and pluck away to distract myself. Suddenly I was working on what I thought was the last section (it wasn't)! I would love to tell you there would be a demo soon (and I hope there will) but recording is much more challenging to me than creating  and compilating chords and words and melody.
